SMS Terms and Conditions
Last updated 31 August 2026. These terms cover text messages RootTend sends for participating garden centers after you opt in.
Required disclosures
- Message frequency varies. Typically one confirmation, then occasional care and guarantee messages for plants you registered, plus rare weather or claim texts. Seasonal or promotional texts only if you opted in separately.

How you opt in
After a purchase, you may register on the garden center's RootTend page (a URL on the receipt, an optional QR code, or staff help). Email is the default. Text is sent only if you select Text and enter a mobile number. A separate, unchecked box is required for seasonal announcements and promotions. Importing a customer list does not count as SMS consent.
What the messages are
Confirmation that a plant is registered; care notes and guarantee-window reminders for what you bought; weather alerts only when you hold a plant at risk (for example frost), not the store's whole list; and messages about a guarantee claim you opened. Seasonal or sale texts go only to people who opted into those separately. Soil, mulch, pots, and other merchandise do not get care or weather texts.
STOP, HELP, and support
Reply STOP to cancel further texts from this program. Reply HELP for help. For support, email support@roottend.com or contact the garden center named in the message. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
How we handle phone numbers and related information is in our Privacy Policy. We use Twilio to deliver texts. We do not sell your number.
Changes
If these SMS Terms and Conditions change in a material way, we will update this page and the date above.
